the fallout and the wreckage of the pain,

the sound that keeps us all sane.

A man cries out in the dark,

His heart broken from the silent shot,

A life to live that he will naught,

Take joy or comfort in.

Grey eyes looking from the dark,

Of the man who heard the shot,

The man who suffered the broken heart,

the silence of the night.
